Legislature approves revisions to Alabama immigration law

The House of Representatives on Wednesday agreed to changes in the state’s immigration law and sent the bill to Gov. Robert Bentley for consideration on the last day of the 2012 legislative session. On a vote of 67-37, the House approved a bill that was introduced to fix problems with the 2011 immigration law, which has been called the strictest in the nation.

Immigration law revisions receive final passage

MONTGOMERY —­ The House on Wednesday agreed to Senate changes in the new anti-illegal immigration bill and sent it to Gov. Robert Bentley for consideration on the last day of the 2012 legislative session.
